iQOO just unveiled its first smartwatch, but the company didn’t start from scratch – it looks a lot like the vivo Watch 3. It even runs the same BlueOS platform (instead of Google Wear OS). There is also a version with an eSIM, so this watch can work independently of the smartphone, unlike most watches with their own operating systems. And there’s an app store, so you can add new features to your watch.

The iQOO Watch has a diameter of 46.1 mm and a thickness of 11.3 mm (excluding the biometric sensor at the bottom). It weighs 36 grams without strap. Speaking of which, you can choose from three different straps – woven nylon, rubber and genuine leather. The straps are of course interchangeable so you can change them to suit the occasion (note: these are not standard 22mm straps).

The watch has a 1.43-inch OLED display with a resolution of 466 x 466px and an always-on display mode. The watch detects when you change the strap and automatically loads the corresponding watch face. There are two hardware controls on board – the rotating crown on top and the button on the bottom. There’s also a microphone and speaker for Bluetooth calls, and if you have the eSIM version, you can make calls from the watch itself.

The health tracking system uses an interesting dual setup. It uses visible light during the day to track heart rate and blood oxygen levels. At night, it switches to invisible infrared so that the watch doesn’t disturb your sleep with flashing lights. iQOO claims that the combination of a multi-channel sensor (8 channels for heart rate, 16 for blood oxygen level) and a deep learning algorithm achieves 97.7% accuracy in heart rate tracking.

Sleep tracking includes sleep time and sleep score, as well as classification of sleep stages. The watch can also track snooze. If you get an iQOO Watch for everyone in the family, they can share their vital signs with the phone app.

The smart watch has more than 100 sports modes. It can help you plan your workout, train you during it, and give you guidance on how to improve afterward. It supports NFC, so you can use it for public transport, for example. And with the right car, the watch can even unlock the vehicle.

The watch has a 505 mAh battery that lasts up to 8 days in Bluetooth mode (up to 16 days with the power saving function enabled). If you use it independently with the eSIM connection, it lasts up to 3 days in normal mode (up to 7 days with energy saving).

The iQOO Watch is now available in China via vivo’s online store. The Bluetooth model with a rubber strap costs CNY 1,100 ($150/€140). The eSIM model is normally CNY 1,300, but we currently have a CNY 100 discount for it. You can also get an eSIM watch with a leather strap for CNY 100 more.
