Stephane Boudon, the creative director of Assassin’s Creed: Mirage, and Jean-Luc Sala, the art director, are one Reddit AMA (ask-me-anything) they talked about the future of the game – reported Insider Gaming.

Despite the fact that they obviously received a lot of questions, they were not very talkative, but a few things came out anyway. They said that Mirage was planned as a stand-alone game, there are still no plans for DLC, but they are already thinking about how to further expand the story of the main character, Basim. Based on the answers of the developers, it seems that the character will probably not get a separate game, but he may still appear in the next titles.

They also gave quite cryptic answers as to whether Ubisoft Bordeaux will return to the series or continue with other IPs. Boudon’s answer to this was that “we work in the dark to serve the light”but later said that they want more creative freedom, which could also mean that they will create a new character but stay with the Assassin’s Creed series, but also that completely different titles can be expected from them in the future.

While Ubisoft Bordeaux continues to polish Mirage, the first details about the next big AC game have arrived. Just like we did before we reported Assassin’s Creed Hexe will deal with an unusual, dark witch story, expected to be more linear than before.
