It really looks like Assassin’s Creed: Hexe will be the most unique and exciting installment of the series in the last 10 years.

24.04.2024 – Although Ubisoft was once a rather brave and experimental company, this kind of game production and attitude has been declining, especially in recent years. Today, we have come to the point that the name of the French publisher is synonymous with the concept of serial and aftermarket games, which can be treated more and more as interest decreases.

In recent months, the flame of the old Ubisoft seems to be flickering, but at least there is no other way to explain the new, completely new kind of Prince of Persia, the bold Star Wars: Outlaws, the Riders Republic based on a particularly unique concept, and the upcoming Assassin’s Creed -series, which intends to slightly renew AC: Hexét – about which very little was known until now. Regarding the latter, although we have not become much smarter, for the eternal insider, https://twitter.com/InsiderGamingIG/status/1782835482742645047 we learned a few things about Assassin’s Creed: Hex, which clearly tells a witchy story.

For example, after many, many years, the series will again have a female protagonist – that is, an exclusively female protagonist, which means that we will not be able to choose between two gendered character models. The main reason for this is to be found in the 16th century, thank God, not very extensive, plot-oriented story, which, according to Henderson, is not only based around witchcraft, but our hero will also be a witch with magical abilities, Elsa. Obviously, not much is known about the story yet, especially since we are still in the very early stages of development, but according to the information so far, this will be the darkest and most brutal Assassin’s Creed ever made, which shows the terror of medieval (European) witch hunts with unvarnished cruelty.

Since AC: Hexe will be much less open-world than previous stages, we can also assume that it will be shorter than most new wave RPGs.

Finally, Henderson also revealed that Hexe could be released sometime in 2026 at the earliest – at least that’s what the developers are calculating. Until then, of course, there will still be a lot of water flowing down the Danube, but if it really turns out to be as it is outlined on the basis of the above, then this could be the most unique AC after Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, which hopefully Ubisoft lost long ago, but apparently in the sky -will also bring back the courage he sought on earth.
