Apple may release a calculator app for iPad at the end of the year, which has been the subject of memes for years.

Apple is finally planning a Calculator app for the iPad, more than 14 years after the device launched, according to a source familiar with the matter.

iPadOS 18 will include a built-in Calculator app for all iPad models compatible with the software update, which is expected to be unveiled during the opening keynote at Apple’s annual developer conference, WWDC, on June 10.

The lack of an official Calculator app on the iPad has long been a meme on social media as users have been waiting for its arrival. Meanwhile, iPad users relied on calculator apps in the App Store, such as PCalc and Calcbot.

AppleInsider reported last week that macOS 15 will include a revamped Calculator app with Notes, a resizable window, a sidebar that lists recent calculations, and more. Although these details have not been independently confirmed, it is possible that the updated Mac app will be based on the new iPad app.
