The studio Flaming Fowl has thrown out a demo and half of its employees

--

The team behind Gloomhaven is preparing a new game, for which a demo version is already available. The piquancy of the situation is, however, that when the demo was made available, they got rid of half of the employees at the same time.

The Flaming Fowl studio is also known for Gloomhaven and Fable Fortune, and now they are preparing a new game called Ironmarked. A demo version of the game is already available, however, in the announcement announcing the demo, they also mentioned that unfortunately they had to let go of a couple of great people.

The dismissal was justified by the fact that the financial situation of the industry is at a standstill, so the production will be held back somewhat, and they are also saying goodbye to several people. “Although we live in difficult times, we are proud of what we create and want to share this with you. We also hope that the demo will also help the employees we had to let go to find a secure new place, as their work is impressive.”

The studio’s CEO, Craig Oman, gave an interview to VGC, in which he said that in the summer of 2023, the publishers left the project, which led to the studio being forced to continue the work “out of pocket”, which in turn led to both layoffs and led to sending the project to the parking lot.
