The latest mecha shooter comes with an interesting combination of trends, which will carry the characteristics of battle royale, extraction and hero shooter.

23.04.2024 – The whole world is determined by trends. Whether it’s fashion, film, games, or the video game industry, if you look at it, things are always made on an assembly line based on a specific line. Thanks to the great success of Marvel, at one time almost only comic book films ruled the cinemas, this trend is now dying out, but at least the numbers are no longer as astronomical as, say, around the first and second Avengers films. Then there are the video games that bring this model to the fore. Thanks to the success of League of Legends, for example, around the year 2010 MOBA titles seemed to be poured from a tap. Riding on the success of PUBG and Fortnite, the last 6-7 years have definitely been about battle royale games. Given a character, we cut into the middle of a huge arena, and the last one to survive wins. The concept is also simple, but the game itself is incredibly addictive thanks to the massive adrenaline rush.

A giant robot shooter, but not Titanfall, what is?

And while the battle royale itself is really good as a genre, unfortunately it has become rather repetitive and boring in the last couple of years due to the forced trend. Apex, Warzone, PUBG, and not even Fortnite can consistently bring in the numbers they used to. Although the latter is still able to remain relevant with one major event.

Still, there are those who think that it still makes sense to make a game on the subject, with some modification and “spice” of course. Mecha Break will be a very strange, battle royale and extraction hybrid, in which up to 60 people can compete against each other at the same time. If you like the Armored Core games, for example, I bet you will like this title as well, because huge robots play the main role here too, and the pace of the battle is also reminiscent of the popular series. In addition, there will be 3v3 and 6v6 team battle modes, and all of this is planned to be spiced up with Overwatch-like hero shooter elements, meaning that our chosen characters will determine the gameplay, unlike in the case of Fortnite or PUBG.

Mecha Break, blessed with lightning-fast, effect-rich gameplay, will soon enter a closed beta phase, for which you can register at this link. We are eagerly awaiting the final result!
