The hay of Watch Dogs is not going well, Ubisoft has reportedly given up on it as Legion 2020 didn’t go as well as they had hoped. According to industry rumours, the Frenchman has no future – at least for a while they certainly don’t count on him.

A dead dog is not a good dog, and now it’s Ubisoft insider and content producer j0nathan https://twitter.com/xj0nathan/status/1781972441629143540that after the commercial failure of Watch Dogs: Legion, the publisher canceled several Watch Dogs projects and is no longer counting on the series.

Four years have passed since the last part, so many questions arise regarding the future of the series, but the answer is unfortunately quite depressing. According to the well-informed j0nathan, the French song is “dead and buried”, no new part is being prepared for it, it was all thrown into the drawer. However, a number of different projects were made at Ubisoft based on Watch Dogs, including “a rather original” battle royale game – well, that too went down the drain.

The question is how long the hiatus will last, especially since it was announced last month that New Regency is making a Watch Dogs movie, and who knows if it’s successful – much like the Fallout series – maybe Ubisoft will ride the hype. and dust off the IP.
