The free ultra-realistic tactical FPS is coming to PC

Tarkov can find a worthy challenger in the person of Arena Breakout: Infinite, which will not only be spectacular, but also free.

22.04.2024 – If you haven’t heard of the mobile game Arena Breakout, it’s strange because it’s quite popular. More than 10 million people have downloaded it from the Google Play Store alone, but it has achieved similar success in the App Store as well, but there are no specific numbers for downloads from the official site, but it could easily have a player base of 20 million. And the success is not surprising, because Arena Breakout looks great, is completely free, and the gameplay follows the Tarkov-Division recipe, which is considered quite untapped in the mobile scene, i.e. a looter shooter with a lot of escape.

On the other hand, I wouldn’t say that there is a lack of such titles on PC, because there is The Division 2, which is currently surviving, FPS lovers can push it with the constantly rotating Escape from Tarkov, another option is Incursion Red River, and the so far will be released soon also available on consoles only is Vigor, made by the ARMA and Operation Flashpoint team. So there is no big stagnation, but still: the developers of Tencent and MoreFun Studios have decided to put Arena Breakout at the starting line in this strong field, already this year.

However, this will be preceded by a closed beta test in May, for which the game on the official site you can apply, a on Steam and we can put it on the wish list if we could skip the test and try it when it comes out.

And it’s worth checking out if you’re interested in the escape looter shooter genre. Arena Breakout Infinite will not be a lazy copy of a mobile game on PC, but a graphically and functionally expanded edition, which, according to the developers, will strive for ultra-realism. As much as it can be in an action game, but based on the first in-game screenshots, there will be absolutely no complaints about the graphics. It obviously won’t show much new in its gameplay, but maybe that’s not the goal, it’s more than enough if it’s at least as fun as Tarkov, but it’s HUF 20,000 cheaper, i.e. free.

We don’t know a release date yet, but if you don’t want to fall behind the also-free Vigor, you’ll have to give it a shot this year.
