Motorola came out with several new mobile phones

Motorola introduced two new phones recently: the cheaper one Edge 50 Fusion and the high-end Edge 50 Ultra.

The latter will be the phone manufacturer’s new top model on the market, in which the Snapdragon 8s Gen3 chipset optimized for artificial intelligence has been installed. It is complemented by a 6.7-inch P-OLED display with 144 Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support and Gorilla Glass Victus protection. All of this comes with 12GB or 16GB of memory and 512GB or 1TB of storage. In terms of cameras, the device has three rear lenses (50 MP wide, 64 MP periscope telephoto, 50 MP ultra-wide) and a 50 MP selfie camera. Its battery is 4500 mAh, with 125 W wired and 50 W wireless charging. The top model comes with a vegan leather or wooden cover, at a price of HUF 410,000.

The Edge 50 Fusion, as a cheaper alternative, offers a 6.7-inch display, a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chip, up to 12 GB of RAM, and a 50 MP wide and 13 MP ultra-wide angle camera for HUF 165,000, blue and in pink color version.

In addition to the two new models, the member of the family introduced a little earlier also deserves a mention Edge 50 Prowhich is also positioned in the middle category, comes at a price of HUF 240,000, with a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chip, three rear cameras (50 MP wide, 10 MP telephoto, 13 MP ultrawide) and also a 6.7-inch display, reports PCWorld.

Premium smartphones are driving the smartphone market

And in February, the analysis company Canalys published the top list of mobile phones with the largest number of units sold last year. Apple’s most expensive models, the iPhone 14 Pro Max and the iPhone 15 Pro Max, were placed at the very beginning. The former became the first with sales of 34 million. It was only 1 million sales ahead of the runner-up, even though the latter only went to stores in September. And the iPhone 14 finished in third place with a value of 29 million.

These numbers also confirm the market observations based on which the global sales of smartphones decreased due to the unfavorable global economic environment of recent years, but the premium segment was much less affected by these processes.

In addition, according to Canalys, this is the first time that an iPhone Pro model has topped the annual sales chart.

In addition to Apple devices, only Samsung phones made it to the list of ten. However, the South Korean manufacturer is not represented by top mobile phones in the list, but “A” series mobile phones were included in the top 10. The Galaxy A14 4G is in sixth place with 21 million sales, followed by the A53 (20 million sales) and the A14 5G (19 million devices).
