THE Prison Architect was a fun tycoon that appeared in 2015 and still has a large fan base. In it, players can take on the role of a prison director, and their task is also to operate a large and escape-proof koter, sitt, dutyi structure. The game served all this in 2D, with a minimalist but still lovable design.
The developer Double Eleven and is responsible for the release Paradox Interactive announced a few months ago that a sequel was in the works. THE Prison Architect 2was still dated for March, but it soon became clear that they had planned too optimistically. At first, the premiere was postponed to May, but now it turns out that they can’t keep it either.
The essence of Prison Architect 2 is broadly unchanged compared to its predecessor, but there is still something in which it will be radically different from it: it has gained an extra dimension. Now we can design, build and operate the prison in full 3D, the inhabitants of which will also change slightly. But the light, fun look remains.
The players can set the rules of the prison themselves, shape the everyday activities of the prisoners. But every prisoner has his own personality, needs and plans, and their behavior depends on them. They form relationships with each other, which also affects the general mood. It will be necessary to pay attention to how one or another of our measures affects the prisoners, whether they help or hinder their social rehabilitation.
Prison Architect 2 will therefore not be released in May. The creators justified the new postponement by saying that they ran into unexpected errors that occur too often, and these must be rectified. So the release was postponed to September 3.
