Tokmac Nguyen’s last match as a player for Djurgaarden did not go well.

On Thursday, his team played a fierce match against Malmö, in which he lost the ball in the 83rd minute. Among the guests, Derek Cornelius stepped out at a good pace, took him down, and then explained quite aggressively to Tokmac, who was lying on the ground. The Norwegian got up from the ground, punched Cornelius and at this point tempers were unleashed. The referee rightly showed the red card.

This was the first time in Tokmac’s career that he was immediately shown a red card. The striker, who used to play football in Ferencváros, was sent off only once before, in 2018, while still a player of Strömsgodset, he received two yellow cards in the league match against IK Start, which ended 1-1.

To Tokmac’s chagrin, his team also lost in Thursday’s meeting. In the 93rd minute, after a corner, Cornelius headed the goal, which was still saved by the goalkeeper, but the Malmö team did not make a mistake in the replay.
