Interview with Nimród Baranyai.

A serious injury to his teammate also contributed to his inclusion in the team, and the DVSC youngster took advantage of the opportunity. He likes his team’s style of play, but he misses the balance in their performance this year. 20-year-old Nimród Baranyai, who scored his first goal against DVTK, is already thinking that he will not be young forever, so he does not plan to stop completely during the summer holidays. Interview.

During the season, you gradually worked your way into the team, in the last few matches you were almost indispensable in the starting team. How do you see it, how did you deserve it?
I am very happy with the opportunity to play regularly, I try to prove my place in the team match after match. I am happy that it took Erik Kusnyír’s serious injury to get the opportunity, but I feel that I was able to take advantage of it, because when I was included, I performed well.

The aforementioned Erik Kusnyír was recently in a similar situation as you are now: he had to learn the rhythm of adult football at a young age. Did he give you any advice when you took his place?
There was no such thing. He wished me the best of luck and is pushing me, as I push him, to recover as soon as possible and be available to the team again.

After last year’s bronze medal, there are two types of Loki fans this year. He is looking at things in one of his stages and would definitely stick with Srdjan Blagojevich, but there are those who think that the current ranking is a step back from last year. Which do you think is the correct point of view?
It is true that based on the results, our performance is more fluctuating, we win two or three games and then lose the next one. Last year I was on loan at Mezőkövesd, but of course I also watched the team’s matches from there. Then we were able to be balanced, this year we really don’t have that, which needs to be improved. Football is like that, there are and will be ups and downs in the life of every team, in such cases you have to help each other and get out of them together.

Even so, Loki’s game is praised by many, saying that the team has a style and vision and that the construction is taking place along these lines. How do you see this from the inside?
Yes, the master had a clear strategy, he laid out his ideas and what he expected from the team right from the start. Since then, we have been thinking in this style of play, we practice it in training and we want to see it again in matches. Personally, I am happy that we play football in an initiative style and strive to have possession of the ball. Defense is no less important, but at the same time, we put the main emphasis on how we can break down the current opponent when we have the ball.

You are not the only young player in the DVSC who regularly gets a chance in NB I. What is the fate of the ifists who come up to the big ones in Loki?
That’s right, I could also mention Boti Vajda or Máté Tuboly, who walk in similar shoes, but there are even younger ones who regularly go up to the adults to train. Our coach likes young players, as for me, I have a good relationship with him. He cares about the young players, but he has expectations. He said that we have to perform from training to training, we have to be constantly focused so that we can be in the team in the match as well.

You scored your first NB I goal against Diósgyőr, but the team lost 5-3 in one of the best matches of the year. Which feeling is stronger in a young player at this time?
He’s up. Of course, I am very happy with my goal, because the first goal is a big thing in the life of every young player, but unfortunately this was not accompanied by a victory. It is definitely positive that we were able to come back from a 2-0 deficit, if we could have scored at 2-2, the match could have been won. Instead, we got two, which we couldn’t get up from. We have to learn from this, because this wasn’t our first game where, in the first 15-20 minutes, we put ourselves in such a situation that we had to run after the result.

With Fradi and Paks reaching the cup finals, there is a high chance that the fourth place will also qualify for international cup participation. You are currently 4 points away from this with four rounds to go. Do you think you can get there? Is this an expectation from management?
Even within the team, as long as there is a chance for the podium, we don’t want to drop down from last year’s third place. It’s true, it’s a long way off now, so there’s no fairy tale, we have to win in a row in the remaining matches. It won’t be easy, as our draw is difficult. After Újpest, we will go to Fradi, then we will also play Fehérvár and Puskás. Most of our opponents come from the top, but I feel the strength in us to do well against them.

In spring, Újpest is two-faced, capable of causing both unpleasant and pleasant surprises. Which one are you looking forward to this weekend?
You must always prepare in such a way that the given opponent shows its best face, since you must also be able to defeat it. It won’t be an easy match. I watched Újpest’s match against MTK, in which they were awarded for leading. You should not start from the result, as they had a chance to win that match. We are ready for them and we are confident that we can show our best form against them.

Do you already have your personal goals for next year – either in terms of game volume or indicators?
I haven’t thought much about it yet, I’m still focusing on the current season. But my goal is constant: to play as much as possible and help the team with goals and assists. I would like to improve in all areas, I don’t plan to take a major break during the summer break either. My girlfriend and I are planning a one-week vacation, which will only be about rest and relaxation, but in the rest of the off-season I would also like to do fitness and ball training. I’m young, but this will pass, so now you have to push like the atom.
