DVTK: an announcement was made about the future of the team captain

The contract was extended by DVTK and Gergő Holdampf, the club reported.

The team captain arrived in Diósgyőr in the summer of 2022 and has been a regular member of the team ever since.

“I feel proud, honored, grateful and, of course, very happy at the same time. When I arrived in Diósgyőr, the club formulated the same goals that I set for myself, and I managed to achieve them in full. In the past almost two years, we became champions in the Merkantil Bank League and managed to remain stable in the first division.

When I signed my first contract in Diósgyőr, I said that I was aware of what a great club I had arrived at, and after my time here, I can confirm that anyone who can play in Miskolc in front of such a fan base week after week, in such a stadium, is privileged and lucky. There was never any question on my part that I wanted to stay in Diósgyőr, and fortunately the management and the professional staff thought that they counted on me and thought about me. I’m very motivated and I’m confident that we’ll achieve the future goals as well as the previously set goals,” said the 29-year-old midfielder.

Holdampf played in 33 games this season, and also scored a goal against DVSC in the league in September.
