Almost eight minutes before the end, the Italians almost managed to free themselves under the man advantage, but it fell short, and the hosts made no mistake. They quickly got another chance and converted it into a goal as well. That’s how excitement remained for the last six minutes.

In the end, the home team brought down their goalkeeper, but the Hungarian advantage remained 6-5. In the division I/A tournament, the Hungarian team will meet the Japanese team in the first round, the South Korean team next Tuesday, the Romanian team on Wednesday, the host Italian team on Friday, and the Slovenian national team on Saturday.

The top two from Bolzano will be promoted and will be able to play in the elite to be held next year in Stockholm and in Herning, Denmark, while the last one will be relegated to division I/B, reports MTI.
