The mandate of the former coach of FTC and ZTE runs until the end of the season.

Under the management of Ricardo Moniz, FC Zürich starts the season. Prior to this, the Swiss club was coached by Murat Ural and Umberto Romano. The club’s announcement reveals that Zurich wants to prove itself on the international stage next season. The Guard has been in a bit of a slump lately, so the management thought that a new impulse was needed. By the way, Moniz comes from the Zurich U21 team to the adults’ bench. The assignment of the Dutch specialist lasts until the end of the season.

The 59-year-old Moniz was the head coach of Ferencváros between 2012 and 2013, and of Zalaegerszeg between 2022 and 2023. Zurich is in sixth place in the league, two points behind fourth-placed St. Gallen. The team finishing in fourth position can start in the qualifiers of the Conference League.
