NB I: the MLSZ decided on the license application of the teams fighting for promotion

Only one club from the current field of the top division did not get the right to start.

The Primary Licensing Committee of the MLSZ met. The announcement on mlsz.hu reveals that only Mezőkövesd from the current NB I field did not receive a license (neither NB I nor NB II). The teams fighting for promotion in NB II (Nyíregyháza, Vasas, ETO FC Győr and Szeged) both received the right to start in NB I. It is known that the first and second place in the second division can start in the highest division in the new season. It is interesting that Haladás did not get the NB II license in the first round.

“Clubs whose license application was not approved at the meeting on April 23 still have the opportunity to obtain a license, because in accordance with the basic club license procedure, they can fill in the missing documents from April 25 to May 3 and prove the Club License Compliance with regulations. The next meeting of the Primary Licensing Committee will take place on May 10, 2024, and a decision will be made on the license applications of those clubs that have not yet received the requested license at the first meeting. At the end of the meeting, the first-level procedure will be closed, the clubs will not have the opportunity to submit additional documents in the context of gap filling. An appeal can be filed against the decision of the First Level Licensing Committee within eight days of receiving the decision” can be read in the communique.
