The Hungarian team has been the only unblemished team in Europe so far this season, winning all 33 matches so far, suffering its first defeat on the 34th, the news agency pointed out.

The two sides defended well at the beginning, only one goal was scored on each side in the first eight minutes. In the second quarter, the home team switched on and stepped up, taking a 5-2 lead at the break. FTC innovated at the beginning of the third period, catching up to 5-4, but Olympiakos found itself again and increased its advantage to three for the final act.

Even then, the home team definitely kept their advantage, so they beat FTC in points, which would have already entered the Final Four with a possible success. Strengthening the Greek team, Márton Vámos – who previously played in the FTC – scored twice.

The top two from the group will go to the final four, which will be held in Malta between June 5 and 7, noted MTI.
