F1: Ferrari starts with blue cars in Miami

--

Ferrari is preparing for next week’s Miami Grand Prix with unusual, special livery, and by the way, the brand is celebrating its 70th anniversary in the United States.

There is blue in the American flag, and what’s more, Ferrari also raced in blue in the early decades of motorsport (especially in North America), so the Italians came up with the idea of starting in Miami with two different colors that also contain blue.

The basic color of the cars will remain red, but one will be decorated with the lighter Azzuro La Plata, while the other will be decorated with the darker Azzuro Dino shade. It is not yet known exactly how the paint will change, but Ferrari will surely show it soon.

Previously, the employees working in Maranello also had blue uniforms, which means that Ferrari’s innovation can be seen as a kind of reference to the past. In fact, in connection with the conflict with the inspection organization at the 1964 American Grand Prix, the Italian team sent its cars on the track in blue and white out of defiance, in the picture below, champion John Surtees in Watkins Glen in 2012, he will drive the Ferrari 1512 wearing American racing colors.
