It was strange to hear that in the beginning of Monday’s match against Szeged, the fans from Győr did not encourage, but booed their team.
“W…what weak!” – they chanted several times, then at the end of the match they booed Romania, referring to the Romanian legionnaires, and demanded that the players take off their shirts.
The team was not spared on the club’s Facebook page either, you can read angry comments.
“Take off the ETO shirt, you are not worthy to wear it!”
“You have been given a thousand chances and week after week you only bring shame to the shirt and your fans! You failed every rally, not to mention a lot of must-wins. We don’t deserve the NBI! Let this suffering end, and then you can go where you see!”
The ETO’s journey is difficult
Sergey Kuznetsov did not hide his disappointment.
“It’s hard to say what to say after a match like this, when we get out by creating a lot of chances.” The players did everything they had in them, but it looks like at the moment it’s not enough to win, the head coach told the club’s website.
