The Unione FC-Mezőörs KSE match was held at the Új Hidegkuti Nándor Stadium. Hassan Aribi scored the lead for the capital city in the 26th minute, and the Kisaföldi team equalized in the 64th minute through Tibor Végh. In the battle of nerves, Mezőörs was close to the final success, because due to an early mistake by Gábor Kaszai in the fifth round, former top striker Gábor Vayer could already shoot for the cup victory, but his attempt was blocked by András Tavasi, who later sold his 11 himself. In the eighth pair, Mezőörs made a mistake first, then Roland Juhász, who was selected 95 times, hit the right post. The ninth pair has already made a decision: the 11 from Mezőörs was saved by Tavasi, but the player from Unione did not make a mistake.

The two amateur teams that went the furthest in the MOL Hungarian Cup made it to the finals of the Men’s Amateur Cup. Mezőörs previously played a memorable match with the Vasas team, Zoltán Gera played his first match against them in the Hungarian Cup as head coach of Vasas. After the 1-1 regular time, there was extra time and then penalties, where the Vasas goalkeeper, János Uram, was able to take a penalty, while the Vasas players made no mistakes.
