Even George Orwell would probably get goosebumps if he could see the Chinese Pollard Studio’s psychological horror game, KARMA: The Dark World, which was already announced a few years ago, but now it has received another boost with a brand new trailer. Released under the auspices of Wired Productions and announced for PC and consoles, the game takes place in 1976, in a city that has been completely controlled by the thought court of the Leviathan Corporation. We will play a so-called Roam agent, whose task as a kind of secret detective is to immerse himself in the minds of others, thus revealing the darkest truths.

From the terribly atmospheric trailer, we could already guess that the “psychological horror” here does not just cover scares. The game’s visuals combine dark psychedelia and the ultimate authoritarian dystopia, and in order to solve our tasks, we will have to thoroughly research not only the shadowed city, but also the minds of the system’s victims.

KARMA: The Dark World has not yet received a release date, but the creators have already confirmed that the game will be released for PC, Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5.
