The US Senate voted on the 95 billion dollar (approx. HUF 35,000) foreign aid package, which also includes military support for Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan, reports CNN. US President Joe Biden is expected to sign the legislation on Wednesday. On Tuesday evening, the Senate supported the measure adopted by the US House of Representatives on Saturday, with a bipartisan vote of 79-18. The package includes 61 billion dollars (approx. 22 thousand billion forints) of military aid to Ukraine. According to the Pentagon, this will be delivered to the war-torn country “within days”.

The package was accepted after a long tug-of-war, and András Rácz, a lecturer at the Corvinus University of Budapest, told Telex about this, according to whom, since help had become almost certain, the Ukrainian artillery fired spectacularly more over the weekend and saved less, not as it had done out of necessity in recent weeks. According to him, the American package can help in defense at the front, the Russian-Ukrainian war was analyzed with the instructor in this article.
