Kubatov revealed how players are lured to Fradi

--

It’s not just the level of pay that matters at all.

The president of the Ferencvárosi Gymnastics Club, Gábor Kubatov, gave a lecture about the Football Forum Hungary conference, why it can be attractive to play football in Fradi from the point of view of a player to be signed.

Gábor Kubatov took the stage after the video presentation of the Mol Magyar Kupa and wrote the following “rhyme” about the former and current main sponsor of the NB I rivals:

Vidi yesterday, Újpest today, it won’t be good, it looks like it

– smiled the president of Fradi, who has not yet spoken about the future new main sponsor of the new champion team, the Russian Gazprom.

For the fifth time in a row in the European group stage

In his speech, he presented the club from the point of view of a player who wants to transfer to Fradi.

“A lot of people say it’s a simple story and it’s just about the salary, but there are a lot more factors that matter. Fradi is an incredibly big club, we’ve been around for 125 years, and we don’t just deal with sports,” said Gábor Kubatov, emphasizing that the green and whites have 33 Olympic and 57 world champions. And when someone is playing for a while, they meet these champions in social spaces.

It may be attractive for the future player that the record champion Fradi collected his 35th top-flight gold medal in Hungary the other day and appeared in one of the group stages of European cups for the fifth time in a row. “In addition, we understood the spring twice. Fradi is the only Hungarian team that gave the Golden Ball to Hungarian football in the person of Albert Flórián, and we also won an international cup in 1965.”

“We make money from everything!”

Kubatov emphasized that Hungary is the safest country in the region. “We had a player who asked if he bought a big house with a swimming pool in Buda, wouldn’t they break into it inside the fence? But we reassured him that this is unthinkable in Budapest.”

According to the president, a player does not only consider the size of the salary when he decides to transfer to Fradi. “You look at the country, the city, how much your money is worth, how much you can put aside, and you look at the infrastructure. Compared to Serbia and Croatia, we now have a towering lead in terms of infrastructure. And despite our fears, the Groupama Arena turned out to be a cash machine, thanks to which we have merciless income, 200 events are held there a year.

This is Hungary’s first cashless stadium. We make money from everything, from kick-off, and what we will be world leaders in is to introduce the fastline for queuing. Those who pay, say, HUF 500, will not have to stand in line for long

– explained Gábor Kubatov.

Racism and anti-Semitism are a thing of the past

He recalled that in 1995, when Fradi played against Ajax, who later won the Champions League, in the group stage at home, 90 percent of the fans booed when the ball went to a black player.

And it was already during his presidency that the fans of Ferencváros remembered László Csatáry, who died at the age of 99, and who was accused of assisting in the rounding up, torture and execution of 12,000 Jews. After the incident, Gábor Kubatov advertised on the Internet for those who were part of it to come forward, and 3,500 people came forward, that is, they identified with what happened, and later demonstrated at his house. But that’s a thing of the past, now it’s safe to go to a Fradi match, and there are no such or similar cases.

“We’ve introduced the vein scanner, it can’t be cheated, and if you’re banned, you can’t get in with your friend’s card. Our ultras didn’t watch our games for three and a half years. They asked us to cancel the vein scanner, but we persisted.”

We have a not friendly, but fair relationship with the fans.

“We discuss everything, but everything has consequences. We are also accepted on the international stage. We introduced objective responsibility, which means that if you do something stupid, you have to take responsibility,” said the president of Fradi.

An example of the latter is that if someone used a prohibited pyrotechnic device and the club is fined two million forints, then the FTC will sue the perpetrator for the same amount of money. Both the laws and the stadium’s cameras help the organizers in this.

They don’t rush when the team is in crisis

“Why would a player choose Fradi? Because the payments are not late, we give them a day earlier, not later, because we don’t drag the government.”

We were in a crisis, but it was not the first time that we replaced the coach immediately, we only replaced him as a last resort.

“This is also a positive message for the incoming player, as he does not have to worry that the coach who brought him to the team will soon be replaced,” argued Gábor Kubatov in addition to Fradi’s many attractions.

At Fradi, the president noted, what can happen in Croatia or Serbia cannot happen, namely that a player has to be careful and afraid when he is on his way home. “What happened was that in Croatia they brought the players down and almost beat them to death. We would identify the perpetrators and the police would take them away.”

Regarding the coaches, at Fradi, they try to appoint a professional to head the team who is better than the player base. This is how Thomas Doll, Serhiy Rebrov, Stanyslav Cherchesov or now Dejan Stankovic, with whom, according to Kubatov, they are planning a long-term stay at Üllői út could sit on the Fradi bench.

Fradi became the leading club in the region

The arriving player is also informed that the team has a serious scientific background to help the football players, as the club’s measurement technologies are the same as the methods used by the top clubs.

Anyone who checks in with Fradi will know everything about himself

– the president summarized the club’s message.

Fradi has now become the leading club in the region, alongside Crvena zvezda, Ludogorec, Dinamo Zagreb, Sparta Praha and Slovan Bratislava. According to Kubatov, this is also a serious attraction, as is the fact that Ferencváros is also a springboard.

“We were able to sell players to the German, Spanish first division, England, France or even the MLS, so they can be aware that it is possible to progress from Fradi to a high level.”
