Raisi made his remarks in neighboring Pakistan’s Punjab province on the second day of his three-day visit, according to CNN’s report from Iran’s state-run IRNA news agency.

Nothing remains of that entity

– that is, from Israel, if it were to attack Iran, Raisi declared.

He added that the Jewish state

makes another mistake and violates the sovereignty of the holy lands of Iran, the situation will be different.

The direct conflict between the two countries began when Israel bombed Iran’s embassy in Syria, killing two senior Iranian Revolutionary Guard officers. Tehran then launched a large-scale, albeit secretly pre-announced, missile and drone attack against Israel, but the Jewish state, with Western and Jordanian help, shot down most of the aerial assets. Last Friday, Israel probably carried out an air attack on an Iranian military base, but it did not acknowledge the attack, and Tehran tried to downplay its significance.

The physical conflict between Iran and Israel appears to have ended, but the rhetoric remains hostile.
