Not surprisingly, the most expensive of the PlayStation Plus subscription packages, Premium, offers the most: in addition to Essential’s monthly “free” games, the Extra subscription also offers a wider catalog, and you can also play a lot of old titles. Also part of the subscription is the so-called Game Trial, during which you can play the given game for a certain period of time. Since the limit is not tied to progress, but to time, we can even go very far in the given address, and after a possible purchase, we can continue from where the test round ended.
This may sound very good so far, for example the trial period of God of War Ragnarök is 3 hours, so those who have not yet acquired it and are unsure can get a very serious taste of what awaits them in the game. At the same time, there are trials that cannot be viewed without raised eyebrows, such as the 45-minute (!) Game Trial of Hogwarts Legacy.
And now one of the best games of the year and one of the worst games of the year has received its test round. The Lord of the Rings: Gollum 1, while Baldur’s Gate 3 received a 2-hour trial period. With the former, the one hour will probably be enough to find out how justified the criticisms were, but with the latter, this time may not even be enough for the tutorial.
