The 24-hour motorway sticker will be introduced from March 1, 2024, the price will be HUF 5,150 – Minister of Construction and Transport János Lázár revealed on Monday at his annual committee hearing.
The EU deadline for the introduction of one-day stickers is March 25, 2024, and the member states must introduce the one-day motorway sticker from then on, so that there is no need to unnecessarily buy a one-day or ten-day sticker if it is only a transit of a few hours. The decision of the EP applies to transit, traveling through the country, which means that it does not necessarily follow that domestic motorists will also be able to buy a one-day sticker at home.
