Israeli tanks appeared around a new hospital complex in Gaza, where twelve Palestinians were killed and tens of others were injured, the Hamas-controlled Gaza Health Ministry announced on Monday.
The news about the blockade of the Indonesian hospital has not yet been confirmed by the Israeli army, but according to the Palestinian WAFA news agency, the facility was hit by an artillery attack, Reuters reported.
By now, in addition to many hospitals in Gaza, the Indonesian Hospital, funded by Indonesian organizations and established in 2016, has also ceased operations. A spokesperson for the Ministry of Health, Ashraf Al-Qidra however, he said about 700 people, including medical teams and wounded, were at the facility.
Meanwhile, across the Hamas-run Gaza Strip, at least 14 Palestinians were killed in two Israeli airstrikes that hit houses in the town of Rafah, near the Egyptian border, health authorities said.
The Israeli army issued a statement about this, in which it also released a video of the airstrikes and the soldiers going from house to house. The Israeli army also claims that three Hamas company commanders and a group of Palestinian fighters were killed, although the specific location of what happened was not indicated.
