Purple Hearts broke into the top of Netflix’s film offering: according to People magazine, the production The Gray Man was the most viewed film on the channel for eight days, but the huge-budget production was quickly replaced by the recently released romantic drama.
The film is about Cassie (Sofia Carson), who has type 1 diabetes, and Luke (Nicholas Galitzine), a marine with a troubled past. Although the two young people are not on the same wavelength, they enter into a sham marriage by mutual agreement so that both of them can benefit from it. Although their relationship constantly runs into pitfalls, after a while they realize that they cannot live without each other.
By the way, Carson took on the lion’s share of the production, taking on the duties of singer, lyricist, actor and producer.
I think I’m very lucky to have been able to rely on what I really like to do as an artist in many projects. This film went beyond that, because I’ve always loved telling stories, and being able to be a part of every aspect of a story, from behind-the-scenes production, to acting, to singing, was incredibly satisfying.
