A bar scarier than any Alien movie

--

The Swiss bar has become a place of pilgrimage Hans Gigerthat is Alien designed by an artist who won an Oscar for special effects in movies. The HR Giger Museum opened its doors to visitors in 1998 and still thrills Ridley Scott fans. Giger worked on all of the franchises, including the later Predator films. The museum is located in a 400-year-old medieval castle, whose two-meter-thick walls allow you to wander through the cave-like rooms with vertebral arches and skeletons. The ceiling, walls, floor, fittings, tables and chairs are all unique to the artist, evoking the well-known extraterrestrial scenery from the movies The Name of the Planet is Death or Prometheus. Giger wanted us to have the experience of coming across traces of an alien civilization with the remains of a bygone age.

I’ll have a look
