Harrison Ford turns into the Red Hulk in the next Captain America movie

--

Two years ago, Marvel producers confirmed that Harrison Ford would join the cast of the next Captain America movie, Brave New World, in the role of General Thunderbolt Ross. Compared to the promises made at the time, the film will arrive in theaters one year later (according to current plans, in February 2025), because for the shooting that was completed last summer, new scenes will be recorded and re-cut from May this year.

Rumors started immediately about Harrison Ford’s character, whether he would transform into his alter ego from the comics, the red Hulk, in the new film. This did not happen in the two films so far, in which the character was played by William Hurt, who died in 2022. Ford has done many action movies on his back, but he is already 81 years old, and CGI here or there, the figure of the muscular colossus might not suit him well. At least that’s been the consensus among fans so far, but now a leaked official promotional material shows that the red Hulk will indeed be in the film.

According to the comics, the red Hulk, like the traditional green Hulk, i.e. Bruce Banner, was born from gamma radiation experiments, an invincible mountain of muscle, with the difference that he retains his intellectual abilities even after the transformation, but his strength does not increase in parallel with his rage. In the comic books, he was initially a negative character, but later it happened that they carved him into a positive hero – which path the screenwriters will follow in the film is still a mystery.
