Now we know that too, and it doesn’t seem like a bad choice at all.
The works of the DC cinematic universe, reimagined by the James Gunn-Peter Safran duo, are already in full swing, and as the first savior, we will be able to welcome Superman: Legacy, coming in 2025. While we have already found out who will come to replace the title character previously played by Henry Cavill since 2013, many roles are still up in the air.
However, now another character could be revealed, as several sources close to the project have confirmed who will play one of the main enemies of the Man of Steel, Lex Luthor, in the film.
And the choice fell on none other than Nicholas Hoult, who, by the way, is not particularly far from the world of comics.
The actor has previously appeared in the X-Men movies, where he could hide in the skin of Bestia, but we also met him in Mad Max: Fury Road, where he portrayed Nux. Recently, he appeared as the main character in works such as Renfield or A menu.
Superman: Legacy, directed by James Gunn, is currently slated to hit theaters on July 11, 2025, but now his team is starting to come together quite nicely. The promising cast and the presence of James Gunn definitely speak for the film, so it will be worth keeping an eye on the project, the next big reveal will be the new Superman suit.
