Anyone can nominate, thanks
– For the third time, we are looking for the county’s best volunteers, so the initiative can now be said to be traditional. Not to mention that the national initiative goes back even longer, he said Peter Jernei, office manager of Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County Family, Opportunity Creator and Volunteer House. – The essence of this is to draw attention to the values of volunteering. Through the selected award-winning volunteers, we thank all the volunteers of the county for their work. Dozens of nominations are received every year, and the candidates are often unaware of who nominated them. However, this gives them positive feedback. Being noticed for their activities usually gives them another boost and motivates other volunteers as well. Evaluation is never easy, because it is very difficult to compare two types of volunteer work. We make sure that different professional areas come into focus. In addition, in addition to the county seat, cities and small settlements should also be given the opportunity. We always try to choose jurors who themselves represent volunteering well and are well-known personalities.
