A 17-year-old boy from Szolnok, who beat one of his teachers with a chair and a fist, was charged with the crime of attempted life-threatening bodily harm. The teacher sustained injuries that took more than eight days to heal, including fractures, reports 24.hu.
The 38-year-old teacher was giving a history lesson to ninth-graders when one of the students went to the toilet without permission. When he got back, the teacher told him that he didn’t ask out, to which the boy first promised that he would ask for permission next time.
When the teacher asked the boy to continue the task he had started earlier, the boy said, “You’re fucking annoying.” The teacher asked him to repeat what he said, and he said: “You are annoying and I will kill you!”. The teacher sent the boy out of the room.
The 17-year-old boy then stood up, grabbed his chair and hit the teacher, whose arm he raised in defense. The student continued to beat him with the chair, hitting his arm and head several times. The teacher tried to run away, but the boy followed her into the corridor, where he punched her several times in the face. The teacher finally fled to the teacher’s room.
The prosecutor’s office asked for a suspended prison sentence for the boy, with the appointment of a guardian and for him to take part in psychotherapy for anxiety and aggression.
