For the opening of the student day, the students gathered in the gymnasium on Friday morning. At the event, Anikó Szrenka, director of Szent-Györgyi Albert Technikum of Nógrád Vármegyei SzC, gave a welcome address.

Afterwards, Gábor Pribisán, Deputy Director General of Nógrád Vármegyei SzC, gave his opening speech. In this, he thanked the Drón Branch of the Association of Business and Scientific Societies for choosing the Szent-Györgyi Albert Technical College of the Nógrád Vármegyei SzC in our smaller country, which, according to him, is an institution where both the school management and the teachers place great emphasis on the most modern possible for their students to gain knowledge and to always introduce them to new technologies. Finally, he recommended the students to try to always be open to new technologies, as this can be one of the most important keys to fulfillment and success in their profession.

After the opening, the Student Day began, where, among other things, a book club, cadet program, football and joint cooking awaited the students. The students could see the presentation of the Drónia Roadshow in the gymnasium. Viktória Georgina Örmény, president and founder of the Drone Section of the Association of Business and Scientific Societies, told our portal more about this on the spot.

– During the Drónia Roadshow, we draw attention to the dangers of cyberspace and the rise of artificial intelligence. Unfortunately, the war showed the ugly face of drones, so we thought that we absolutely had to show the sports, hobbies and professions that can be carried out by it in civilian life, since I myself work in many fields as a drone pilot, said Georgina Viktória Örmény, who is the water also writes publications about drones.

He emphasized that it was considered important to start an awareness program among the students, the main patron of which is retired Brigadier General Bertalan Farkas, the first Hungarian astronaut, and the Farkas Bertalan Educational and Methodological Center. The program is also supported by the Prime Minister’s Office. The Drónia Roadshow consists of five stations, the second location of which is the Nógrád Vármegyei SZC Szent-Györgyi Albert Technikum.

The students could also try out the drone simulator and mini drones

During the Drónia Roadshow, students were able to hear lectures on cyberspace and artificial intelligence for the first time. Then they could try out the drone simulator, the mini drones, and a VR presentation and FPV garage awaited them. In addition, the Cavalry Service of the Nógrád County Police Headquarters, the National Cyber ​​Defense Institute, National Security Specialist Service, and the Criminal Division of the Balassagyal Police Department gave them practical demonstrations during the day. At the end of the program, the students and teachers could use drones to create a live image referring to the discovery of the school’s namesake.
