They would end the season with a win
According to Vanda Péteri, the team of the University of Debrecen dropped valuable points at the beginning of the season, which is why it was not possible to reach the upper house.
The DEAC women’s volleyball team is preparing for the last match of the season, which will host Jászsági RK at DESOK on Saturday at 5 p.m. Zsolt Kuszkó’s students can play in the weekend championships without any burden, since they won 3:1 in the previous round, in the match against Eger, and with this it became certain that they will win the lower house in the NB II Eastern group. The fact that our team has always outperformed JRK’s squad this season can also be a reason for confidence. Borók Orsi won 3:0 both at home and away in the regular season, while most recently in the middle of March in the Jászsági RK hall, the final result was 1:3.
– In the previous meeting, we won in a close fight against Jászsági RK, then we also lost a set, based on this, we cannot expect an easy match. We definitely want to end the season with a win, hopefully we will keep the three points at home in three sets. There are routine players on the opponent’s side, as a result, aggressive and concentrated play will be necessary if we don’t want them to take control. Unfortunately, the upper house and getting to NB I, which we have been planning for years, did not come together this year either. I felt that our foundation went well, we also performed encouragingly in the preparatory tournaments. We lost valuable points in the beginning, so we missed the upper house. I have mixed feelings about this. On the one hand, I feel disappointed because of the unsuccessful attempt that has been going on for years, but it is also necessary to see that it succeeds, it would require much more training and sacrifice, which is not possible for several members of the squad due to study and work – said Vanda Péteri.
