They caught such a large carp with a fishing rod at the Látóképi reservoir that even experienced boilies would envy it. At the end of half an hour of hard work, the stem, which was of excellent strength, was driven into the mouth.
A few years ago, Lóránt Soltész started working with pile fishing, who had an undisguised desire to hook as big a carp as possible with this method. Last August, he broke his personal record with a 17.40-kilo fish at the Látóképi reservoir.
This year, Lóránt Soltész has been trying to spot large carp on the Debrecen fishing waters since the end of February, and so far every time he has managed to catch a beautiful specimen from a short distance of 8 meters.
This would not be news in itself, but what appeared on the Facebook page of the Látókép reservoir on Thursday, April 25, is. As written in the post, the angler was able to weigh a 15.36 kilo carp.
“Thanks to the early spring, the fish appeared very quickly in the waters near the coast. It is almost unbelievable that one of the bigger ones can be helped ashore so early this year,” said Lóránt Soltész.
At the end of a very hard, 30-minute fatigue, he was able to lay the fish on a mattress for a short time, and then returned to the lake.
“I’ve managed to catch quite a few bigger carp, but this fish had some brutal power. A mattress would have fit on me too!” – commented Lórán Soltész jokingly, implying that he too was exhausted by the half-hour fight.
