According to the indictment, the 24-year-old woman and the 26-year-old man moved into a Budapest, III. from the storage room in the basement of a district apartment building to a converted apartment, and soon after they got into an angry relationship with a resident who had lived in the house for a long time, the later victim.
On December 29, 2022, the couple consumed marijuana in their apartment during the day. When they heard that the victim was talking to other residents in the basement and insulting them in a raised voice, they kicked him out of the apartment and held him responsible, then punched him several times, while threatening to kill him.

The victim tried to return the attack, but was outnumbered. At that time, one of the witnesses of the case stood between the parties and ordered the couple to return to their apartment, but after his departure, the defendants came out of their apartment again and during the renewed fight the husband told the wife to get a knife. Then the woman went back to the kitchen of their apartment, took a paring knife from there and stabbed it with great force in the back of the victim who was fighting with her husband in the basement of the stairwell.

The residents notified the emergency services
The couple then fled the apartment building, while the victim, who was in a life-threatening condition, remained in the stairwell. The residents called an ambulance and thus saved the stabbed man’s life.
In the indictment, the General Prosecutor’s Office charges the female member of the couple, who is currently under criminal supervision, with the crime of attempted murder, while the husband is accused of inciting this crime, and proposed that they be sentenced to prison and banned from public affairs.
The police separated the proceedings against the defendants for drug possession.
