That’s the news, the winner of the public tender for the construction of the new Danube bridge in Mohács and the related road network has been announced. How much the new bridge can be built for is another question – every square meter of horror is ready!
The public procurement was announced by the Ministry of Construction and Transport, the open EU procedure started in September last year, the final bid deadline was November 23, 2023. Three companies bid for the construction of the new Danube bridge, and in the end the cheapest,
Duna Aszfalt, which made a net bid of HUF 294.96 billion, won the order. With this, the most expensive Danube bridge ever built in Hungary.
The plans for the new Mohács bridge, as well as the road network between the M6 highway section connecting to it and highway No. 51, were prepared by Speciálterv Építőjenőgi Kft. on behalf of Nemzeti Infrastructura Fejlsztő Zrt.
According to the data on the company’s website, the total area of the three-span steel bridge will be 18,000 square meters. The Mohács bridge will be the 21st bridge on the Hungarian section of the Danube, the 20th is the Danube bridge in Kalocsa, which is essentially already completed, and its handover is due this summer, Telex wrote.
