Great atmosphere, excellent program and great success at the Charity Teacher’s Concert (with gallery)

--

Generations made music together again last Friday at an event organized by Móricz Zsigmond Primary School, which is celebrating its 70th anniversary with a jubilee academic year, in the Lutheran church – this is one of the many factors that make the charity concert special.

Something to be proud of, but…

As one of the main patrons of the concert, Mayor Tamás Pintér first emphasized in front of the DSTV camera and then during his greeting that the community initiative of the teachers is a source of pride, but he also drew attention to a special aspect:

– I accepted the invitation with pleasure, I consider it a very nice and noble gesture that, continuing a decade-old tradition, the Charity Teacher’s Concert will be organized again. The concert is also proof that the people in the city are in solidarity and are able to help by forming a large community. At the same time, it is both sad and very, very thought-provoking that the representatives of a neglected sphere, which is not valued in terms of its prestige or financial aspects, the teachers, provide help to another sector, unfortunately also lying in ruins, the health sector.

With a rich, beautiful offer

The organizers of the event continued the beautiful tradition, choosing the participants of the concert with the greatest possible immersion – as a result, both the range of performers and the program became colorful, varied and impressively rich. The Móricz students started the line with festive songs, then the teachers of the Sándor Frigyes Music School in Dunaújváros and the Wesley Da Capo Elementary School of Arts introduced themselves, the popular choir of the Dunaújvárosi Óvoda put on a beautiful show, but the repertoire was also enriched by poetry recitals and the Móricz Chamber Choir. In the finale, the Dunaújváros Vegyeskar presented itself, this time again with a beauty award-winning and very powerful mini-concert, enthralling the audience to a standing ovation.

They played music for a good cause

The proceeds of the concert were once again donated to the children’s ward of St. Pantaleon Hospital by the promoters of the concert. For the donations and the great atmosphere at the end of the concert, dr. Acting Director-General Levente Kővágó thanked the Chief Medical Officer.
According to Irma Németh, the originator and chief organizer, this year’s income of the charitable campaign was HUF 150,000. The donation was delivered to the children’s ward on Tuesday afternoon; the donation collected during the concert is entirely for the benefit of the hospital’s small patients.

Nice program, well-deserved success, music for charity – thanks to all contributors! Let the pictures tell about the beautiful moments of the concert!
