On April 26, Friday, April 26, between 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m., the “Can’t you tidy up at home?” program. You can now learn how to do it at the Tájház in Tiszadada! However, what awaits those interested has nothing to do with the well-known tidying up. But it has a lot to do with hand tools, sickles and scythes and the work they can do around the house. On the eve of the Day of Landscape Houses in 2024, at the Landscape House for the Preservation of Tradition and Education in Tiszadada, you can learn to “cut order” from those who still know how to hammer a shirt or a fur coat. What it means? There are those who hammer on a shirt, but if they only wear a shirt while working, they sweat like a horse. It can also hammer on other fur coats, so even if you were to mow in a fur coat, you wouldn’t sweat. The crafts this afternoon will be fencing and whip making. Visitors can also get to know the hoop whips in the collection of the Tiszadada Tájház, and everyone is also invited to join in with the prepared whips.
In the courtyard of the landscape house, between 6 pm and 7 pm, playful visitors are invited to a giant local history board game, where the puppet is the player, but there will also be meter-by-meter dice, door-sized question cards, and a giant playing field, all made from recycled materials. After that, from 7 p.m., everyone can sign up for the Elemlampas-Vellenyes local history tour, six locations can be visited with a guided tour, so that no lights are lit anywhere. You must bring a lamp and a vest.
