The extraordinary maintenance has been completed, so the Zugliget Frisian will be running again from the last weekend of April. During the shutdown, BKV specialists also carried out the usual spring servicing, BKV says in its announcement. Fortunately, after the extraordinary maintenance, everything was fine during the test sessions.

Great news for forgetful passengers is that unused tickets purchased in 2023 will remain valid until December 31, 2024.

It’s bad news for everyone else that the adult ticket is HUF 500 more expensive

moreover, the previously discounted ticket – like the magician’s bunny – disappears.

Younger people are delighted to be able to exchange a child and student ticket, which is much cheaper than the full price ticket.

  • Full-price two-way ticket – HUF 3,500
  • Under 3 years old – FREE
  • Child (3-14 years old) two-way ticket – HUF 1,000
  • Student (aged 15-25) two-way ticket – HUF 2,000

Hungary’s first passenger cable car is 1,040 meters long, and the height difference between its two stations is 262 meters. On a hilly ride you can get up to the highest point of the capital, János Hill, and on a valley ride it offers a view of Budapest.
