– The General Directorate of Social and Child Protection concluded an out-of-court settlement agreement with nine people, to whom it paid a total of HUF 154 million – Blikk learned from the press department of the Ministry of the Interior regarding the case of victims abused in the Bicske children’s home. According to the newspaper’s information, those involved could reach an agreement with the state in 2020. The fact that the director of the children’s home in Bicske, the pedophile János V. abused the children entrusted to him for many years, was first reported in 2016 by RTL’s Házon éssé program. The case came into the center of attention again after it was revealed that Endre K., the deputy of János V. who assisted in the cover-up of the crime, received a pardon from the head of state, Katalin Novák, who, after this was revealed, fell into the decision.
