The Veszprém County Prosecutor’s Office brought charges against the 45-year-old man who, in the summer of 2023, sexually assaulted a nine-year-old girl who was staying with them in a village in the Veszprém County for a more serious case of sexual violence.

According to the indictment, the perpetrator’s partner had a good relationship with his aunt, and they arranged for the woman’s young son and daughter to spend two weeks with them on vacation.

The children arrived at the family at the end of July, but on the day of their arrival, immediately after the children’s mother and foster father had left, and her partner went ahead with the little girl’s younger brother and their own child, he approached the victim in an indecent manner. During the afternoon, he forced the child to endure further sexual acts, who, fearing that the defendant would abuse him, did not dare to tell anyone about what had happened.

Almost a week later, the man took advantage of the fact that his partner was not around the children, sent the boys to watch TV, and sexually assaulted the little girl while drunk. He interrupted his act when he heard his partner come out of the bathroom, but shortly afterwards he re-arranged the situation so that he could be alone with the child.

After that, the little girl immediately sent an internet message from her phone and asked her mother for help, who immediately called her niece and told her that they were going to get the children, and that she and her partner took them home that evening.

In its indictment, the prosecution submitted a motion to the Veszprém District Court to impose a prison sentence without the possibility of parole and a ban from exercising public affairs, as well as a permanent ban on the offender from all occupations and other activities, within the framework of which the education, supervision and care of the male person under the age of eighteen, would carry out medical treatment, or would enter into another relationship of power or influence with such a person.
