IS’s lines were read by his father at the march of the National Association of Italian Partisans (ANPI) in Rome. The participants of the commemorative march repeatedly chanted “Ilaria be free!”.

IS’s open letter also reached the Italian press. “In my country, remembering the end of the Second World War, we (also remember) the expulsion of the Nazi fascists, which is due to the brave fight of partisan men and women. From my gray cell, I wish with all my heart that my country is worthy of its own history. Today, as you have done in the past, confront the injustices of the world by standing on the right side of history. Happy April 25!” – written by. April 25 is a national holiday in Italy, the anniversary of the country’s liberation from fascism in World War II.

He was detained by the Hungarian authorities last February. The trial of the 40-year-old antifa activist accused of attacking passers-by in Budapest, among others, began this year. The trial of IS and his companions for the crime of attempted life-threatening bodily harm and other crimes continued with interrogations at the Capital Court at the end of March. The main accused, the Italian IS – who was brought into the room in handcuffs despite the previous complaints – took part in the trial in person: criminal supervision wanted to reach him, but the court rejected this.

The 39-year-old woman is accused by the prosecution of being one of the main organizers of the street attacks that took place on the day of the outbreak in February last year, when foreign anti-fascist activists beat people they thought were far-right on the street. The Italian woman was detained in February of last year for attempting to commit the crime of life-threatening bodily harm committed in a criminal organization.
