ALDI opened its 46th store in Budapest

ALDI Magyarország has expanded its Hungarian network with another store in Budapest XI. district, at Karolina út 17, so shopping can be done in 174 stores across the country, at the usual low prices and excellent quality from the department store chain. THE on the occasion of the opening, more than 30 extraordinary opening promotions, wheel of fortune and numerous gifts await customers. The Újbuda unit created 28 new commercial jobs.

Since entering the Hungarian market, ALDI has continuously strived to make its affordable and reliable quality product range available to as many customers as possible. For the company, the capital city is of particular importance in terms of network development, so it is constantly looking for expansion opportunities, and in the past six months it has developed its now-opening store in the building of the property located at Karolina út 17, which previously housed another retail unit. The store in Újbuda is easily accessible on foot, by bicycle, by car and by public transport.

In order to serve customer needs at a high level, the store reflects the latest ALDI image, taking into account the characteristics of the property. Customers in a modern and spacious environment, about 880 m2can choose from nearly 1,800 mostly own-brand products in the sales area. Of course, sustainability and energy saving are also extremely important for the company, so it used modern electrical, mechanical and architectural solutions during the development of the property. Modern equipment and sustainable technologies both contribute to environmentally conscious operation and increase the feeling of comfort.

Customers can find new flooring and a fruit and vegetable counter directly at the entrance, where they can choose from more than 110 fresh products, mostly from Hungarian sources. The show bakery “In the same heat” is located in the back of the store: more than 60 types of locally made bread, sweet and savory pastries are available here, nearly 50 more baked goods are delivered fresh daily, and durable products arrive in the store from the central warehouse. In line with the new measure introduced under the slogan “Catch of the day”, in the display bakeries, the baked goods left over from the previous day’s closing can be purchased in bags at a 50% discount until noon the next day, and vegetables and fruits with cosmetic defects can also be purchased in packages at a 30-50% discount.

All of ALDI’s domestic stores – including the newly opened Budapest unit – have a sales area of ​​more than 400 square meters, which is why the company installed a reverse vending machine in this store as well. The equipment allows customers to return the selectively collected, non-refillable bottles at two slots at the same time.

Sensational opening sales and pleasant surprises

ALDI puts a lot of emphasis on introducing as many customers as possible to its own brand product range, which makes up about 90% of its range. On the occasion of the opening, the company offers more than 30 products at extremely favorable prices, up to 70% lower, exclusively in this store: household, DIY and garden tools, furniture and home textiles, textiles, toys and leisure goods. In addition, several types of fresh vegetables and fruits, as well as assortment products, can be purchased at discounted prices. On the first three days of opening, all locally baked baked goods are available at a 20% discount.

The store chain also offers many gifts: from 6:30 a.m. on the opening day, visitors to the store are given protein bars, hair care products, fabric softeners, washing capsules, toiletries, color-catching cloths, popsockets that can be attached to phones, and trash bags, while stocks last. After leaving the cash register, from 6:30 to 10:00 a.m., a prize draw awaits customers who can spin the wheel of fortune with a purchase of HUF 5,000 and return home enriched with a guaranteed prize.

As a responsible company, ALDI supports various organizations and institutions across the country. At the same time as the opening, the store chain will donate kitchen utensils and hygiene products to the Alsóhegy Utcai Kindergarten location of the Szentimreváros Kindergarten.
