Almost forty films are included in the Hungarian program of the 12th Fresh Meat Festival Pestpilis

At this year’s Friss Hús festival, several English-language Hungarian short films will be presented, including Jack Turits’ work Pun Intended and Love, Cherish, Obey, directed by Frigyes Rácz.

Luca Pető, who at the age of 18 is the youngest director in the history of Friss Hús, will be able to see Loom at the festival. Anna Korom’s Diamond Beauty, which won the main prize at the 2023 Budapest Debut Film Forum, will be shown in a short film version, starring Zsuzsa Nyertes.

A hundred-year-old film plan also comes to life on the screen: Gábor Ulrich made a paraphrase of an animated film sketched in 1923, which remained unrealized, based on the remaining sketches and research by Márton Orosz, entitled Rekonstrukt.

At the festival, in addition to film screenings, professional programs, workshops, round table discussions and concerts await the audience. The winners of the competition programs will be announced on the last day of the festival, June 5.
