From April 26, ferry services will depart every 30 minutes from Szántódrév between 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. and from Tihanyrév between 7:15 a.m. and 9:15 p.m.

The shipping company wrote that the ferries operate all year round. Depending on the traffic, the ferry services are condensed by suspending the timetable.

The new ferries are already running

If we’re lucky, we can cross on one of the brand new ferries. (Of course, the old ferries also run.)

As reported by likeBalaton.hu, on March 28, 2024, BAHART’s four new ships were handed over, including the ferries named Szántód and Tihany. The 45-meter-long and 11-meter-wide ferries are BAHART’s ships with the largest passenger and vehicle capacity to date,

which can transport 120 passengers, 24 vehicles and 30 bicycles at the same time.

Ferry prices will rise by 8-12.5 percent in 2024. A full-price ticket costs HUF 900, while a bicycle costs HUF 450 and a car costs HUF 2,700.
