The annual general meeting of Richter Gedeon Nyrt., convened for Thursday, voted on the board’s dividend payment proposal – read the general meeting resolutions published on the website of the Budapest Stock Exchange (BÉT) on Thursday.

According to the decision of the general meeting, the amount of the dividend to be paid for the results of the business year 2023 is 46 percent of the consolidated after-tax profit for the owners of the parent company, adjusted for impairment, or HUF 423 per ordinary share.

The dividend payment amount is HUF 78.8 billion, the payment will start on June 13. Last year, the company paid a dividend of HUF 390 per share.

The general meeting also accepted the company’s consolidated report with total balance sheet total of HUF 1,361.217 billion and pre-tax profit of HUF 160.651 billion, as well as individual accounts with total balance sheet total of HUF 1,327.091 billion and pre-tax profit of HUF 186.901 billion.

The annual ordinary general meeting authorizes the board of directors for a period of 18 months from the ordinary general meeting in 2024 to buy the company’s own ordinary shares on the stock exchange or over the counter, up to a maximum of 10 percent of the company’s current registered capital, with a maximum of +10 percent above the stock price , downwards at a purchase price with a maximum difference of -10 percent.

The purchase of own shares facilitates the realization of Richter’s strategic goals, thus, in particular, the use of own shares as a means of payment in acquisition transactions, and ensures the share requirements of Richter’s share-based employee and management incentive systems.

Richter is a BÉT premium-category issuer, their exchange rate has varied between HUF 8,010 and HUF 9,965 within a year.
