The destruction of Hamas is not a question of “if”, but “when”, and Israel’s allies know that this is the case, said Gila Gamliel, the Israeli Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, speaking at CPAC Hungary, to JNS on Thursday.
“All our friends know this, even the United States, and we have no choice against a terrorist group that aims to destroy Israel,” Gamliel said.
After what Hamas did on October 7th against the Jewish people, against civilians who were dancing at a party or others enjoying the [Szimchát Tóra] holiday, it is impossible to allow the terrorist organization to exist, even more so on our borders,” said Gamliel, who is a member of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s ruling Likud party.
“We will do everything we can to destroy them as soon as possible”
he added.
At the beginning of his speech, the Israeli minister thanked Hungary for unwaveringly and steadfastly standing by Israel since the October 7 attack. According to Gamliel, it is no coincidence that Hungary is one of the most important pillars of support for Zionism.
“Iran is the big story. Iran created these terrorist proxies to use not only against Israel, but throughout the Middle East.”
Gamliel called the attention of the participants of the conference organized by the Center for Fundamental Rights.
In his speech, Gamliel also criticized the UN for not properly condemning the sexual crimes committed by Hamas on October 7.

The suspect, who lives in a neighborhood populated by migrants, reportedly said his actions were “revenge for Palestine.”
“I see some of the leaders of the world and I am ashamed of them. It is not about Jews, Muslims or Christians, but about humanity”.
“What do these raped women in Israel think, what do they feel? UN Women should stand up for women around the world based on their principles, but these principles clearly do not apply when it comes to Jewish women,” said Gamliel.
From the Israeli side, Amichai Chikli, the minister responsible for diaspora affairs and the fight against anti-Semitism (Likud), representative Amit Halevi (Likud) and representative Ohad Tal (Religious Zionism) will also participate in the CPAC.
Rep. Tal told JNS that the Biden administration is not providing enough support to Israel in the war against Hamas, which is one of the reasons why Iran has decided to attack the Jewish state directly.

Slomó Köves, the head rabbi of the EMIH, and Sándor Németh, the leader of the Congregation of the Faith, also drew attention to the importance of protecting Israel and Jewishness.
