At this meeting, the representatives of the dominant organizations of the European tourism and hospitality sector recorded the most important guidelines before the European Parliament elections.

With the approach of the European elections and the Hungarian EU presidency, the discussion of the most important guidelines and goals came into focus.

The common goal of the European hospitality industry is to boost tourism, support talent, promote EU regulation on digital markets, sustainability and adapt to consumer needs in the next five years.

The EU Regulation of Digital Markets Act has changed the tourism sector. Cooperation with decision-makers is necessary to ensure that the regulatory environment is fair and transparent. It is important that, in addition to protecting our interests, innovation and development are also supported,” he emphasized.

“With the EU elections approaching, our task is to reach the members of the European Parliament and get our lobbying goals heard. Tourism and hospitality must continue to be at the top of the political agenda!” – He told.

Marie Audren, the director of HOTREC, said, among other things, that HOTREC is a representative association that is expanding. “I am happy to announce that our Turkish friends from the Tourism Development and Education Foundation (TUGEV) have joined us,” he said.

“HOTREC continues to be a committed spokesperson for European hospitality. We provide the sector with a platform to make its voice heard and achieve meaningful changes. Our strength lies in our unity,” he declared.
